THREE LET BY TENDER.

Tho Palmerston North Borough council last evening opened tenders for the library shops. There was only one receive'd for tho corner shop, the upset rental of which was £5. It was let to a pram vendor, at £5 10s per week. For the shop in the Square next tne corner one, there were two tenders received and as ono tenderer would tako either of tho other two Square shops, that next the corner was let to a bread, cake and confectionery trader at £3 per week, the upset rental. The third tenderer ,a chemist, is to bo given the choice of the other two at £3 10s, his tender. No tenders were received for tho other shops, which can now be let privately by the council.
