UNVEILING MEMORIAL TO SIR JAS. CARROLL

GREAT MAORI HOT. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. Sir A. Ngata has received word that Sir Joseph Ward will leave Wellington to-morrow morning by the Napier express for Gisborne, where he will arrive on Saturday afternoon to partid•pate in the unveiling of the memorial to the late Sir James Carroll on Sunday. The Prime Minister will probably leave again on Tuesday morning. In connection with the unveiling, a huge Maori hui will be held. Tribes from all over New Zealand aro expected to bo present, some being already ;on the way. Over 200 are in camp tonight but by Saturday, the number is expected to be swelled to 1500 or 1800 The hui will commence to-morrow night and will continue till Tuesday or Wednesday next.
