A stormy debate is occurring in tho House of Representatives upon the Transport Bill, which gives the Federal authorities more power over industrial disputes. Labour members shouted wildly and described it variously as a “bludgeoning bill,” ’’Latham’s leg iron,” “branding iron,” and “conscription of labour bill.” Mr Seullins, leader of the Labour party, to-day gave notice that ho would move “that in the opinion of this House, tho Bruce-Pago government by its class legislation and partisan administration, has caused the dislocation of industry and is responsible for the crisis in tho timber industry.” Tho motion is regarded as one of censure.
