PIT PATRONS LET DOWN
To the Editor. Sir, —Ee the performance of "The Vagabond King” at the Opera House to-night. The pit seats were advertised at 2s 6d (plus tax) and a large, number of people waited in a queue for hours to obtain them, a very few succeeded in doing so. It appears that nearly all the pit scats were sold beforehand at 5s and that tho legitimate claim of those standing in the queue was ignored. The conclusion is that J. C. Williamson and Co. went back on their contract to sell the pit seats at 2s 6d, let the pit public down, in fact. —I am, etc.. ’ W.R.S.
