Notes of the Day
The eighteenth annual show of ths Rangiwahia Horticultural and Indus trial Society takes place on Wednesday, March 6. An advertisements appears elsewhere in this issue. A dance in aid of the Hockey Club is to bo held in the Stanway hall on Wednes, March 6.
At the Tc Kuiti ram fair an entry ot 16, made by Mr. T. E. Craino, of Kiwitea, commanded the top prices for tho sale. They averaged £l7 3s Gd each—a surprisingly good figure. The demand for rams in the King Country has been particularly good and Mr. Craine’s sale is certainly an outstanding one. The Fcilding Municipal Band hat made considerable improvement in its playing of the test selections for ths Wanganui contest since last Sunday and, as tho band leaves for that city to-morrow, the last opportunity to appear before the residents is to-night. This, the band intends to do by marching round the town and afterwards playing the test selections in the rotunda.- A collection iu aid of tho contest funds will be taken up.
