AUCTIONEERS’ LICENSES
NEW REGULATIONS. LOCAL BODIES NOT NOTIFIED OP CHANGE.
When the question of auctioneers licenses was before the Kiwi tea county Council yesterday, the county clerk (Mr W. L. Hcsscltine) told the council that he had not received an official intimation as to new regulations governing the issue of such licenses. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Coy wrote advising that tho 1928 auctioneers licenses had been extended to March 31 under the auctioneers Regulations 1929 and requested that the 1929 license, taken out in January, bo cancelled and the fee of £4O paid, refunded. The cleric sa.id that he had no knowledge of this alteration and it was very inconsiderate of the department to fail t.> notify local bodies of the change. It was decided to comply with the request of the company.
