At the Stadium, after a thrilling bout, with many oxciting rallies, the American welter, Jack Sparr, (10.4) signalised his first appcaranco in Australia by defeating Tommy Fairhall (9.12) on points in 35 rounds.
CARROLL BEATS GALBUSERA. Received Monday, 1.0 a.m. MELBOURNE, Jan. 20. Jack Carroll (10. S) the welter champion of Australia, beat Carlo Galbusera (10.7) in the sixth round at the Stadium. The latter took heavy punishment.
