Sir Apirama Ngata, in a speech at Waiomatatini concerning tho policy he proposed to follow in his now capacity as Native Minister, suggested that when lie makes a tour of the islands attached to New Zealand a party of influential Maoris should accompany him. Sir Apirama pointed out that his tour might include Samoa and that the association of the Maoris with the measures proposed by the New Zealand Government might have a good effect upon the restless portions of the Polynesian race.
