GREAT LAKES IN GRIP OF INTENSE COLD WAVE
43 BELOW ZERO. United Press Association —By Electri* Telegraph—Copyright. Received Monday 7.0 p.m. CHICAGO, Jan. 13. Three persons were frozen to death to-day when the coldest wave of tho season sent the local thermometer to ten degrees below zero Suburban towns reported much lower temperatures, decreasing to 43 below zero in several towns in Ontario. Much suffering was caused in the Chicago area by the suddenness of the cold and high winds. Relief is promised for Monday.
