I{ is announced that Professor Easu, of Jena, has succeeded in sending ultrashort waves, possessing peculiar properties, without an arid, a distance of 250 miles. His sets, which may be contained in a cigar box, can be used for medical purposes. Small animals arc killed instantly, according to Tliuringer Zeitung and bacillus cultures are annihilated.
