Hopeful Air at Palace
BULLETIN REGARDED AS MOST SATISFACTORY YET.
LONDON, Jan. 7,
A bulletinn issued from Buckingham Palace at 7.45 o’clock this evening stated: —
“The King has htul a quiet day. Thero is no change in His Majesty’s condition. The next bulletin will be issued to-morrow evening. ’ ’ The bulletin was signed by Sir Stanley Hcwett and Lord Dawson of Penn.
There is an air of hopefulness at the Palace to-night. The bulletin is regarded as the most satisfactory yet. Although the morning bulletin stated that the condition was unchanged, it is understood that His Majesty is still on the up grade.
Doctors Satisfied
NO CHANGE LIKELY IN NEXT 24 HOURS.
LONDON, Jan. 7. Although the night bulletin docs not report a definite improvement, it is regarded as satisfactory. There is reason to believe that the King is still on the up grade. The fact that only ono bulletin will be issued to-morrow seems to indicate that the doctors are satisfied that no great change is likely in the next 24 hours.
Only Sir Stanley Hewett and Lord Dawson of Penn attended at the Palace to-day. The rays were not applied. This is another satisfactory sign.
There is a distinctly more hopeful air at the Palace to-night. Tho Duke of York and the Duke of Gloucester have left for shooting at Sandringham.

The Duke of York and the Duke of Gloucester left London this morning for Sandringham. They will shoot over the coverts of the King ’s Norfolk home during the present week. That the Princes arc leaving town for some days indicates sufficiently that the tension at Buckingham Palace h<3 been considerably relieved;
