RETURNS FOR YEAR. Tho Feilding Magistrate’s Court returns for tho year ending December 31 were made available yesterday, by tho clerk of the Court (Mr. E. R. Graham). Details are as follow: Number of sittings presided over by Magistrate, 23 civil and 20 criminal; number of sittings presided over by Justices Peace, two civil and 40 criminal; number of civil cases heard by Magistrate, 26; total amount sued for, £7916; number of applications heard in chambers, 47; number of plaints entered,, 472; number of distress warrants issued, 24; number of judgment summonses issued, 97; warrants of committal issued, 17; I writs of arrest, one; total fees and fines collected, £857 Bs.
