- DEIHL—ROGERS. A wedding of considerable , Interest took place at St. John's Church, Fcild- , ing on j July 18th, when Miss Ada Dcihl, third daughter of Mr* and Mrs. 6. Dcihl, of Ranghrahia was .married to Matthew Leo. Rogers, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. M. Rogers of New Plymouth. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, was daintily attired in a dress of ivory silver beaded georgette. . She wore a handsomely: embroidered silk tube veil, surrounded by a coronet • of. orange , .blossoms and, carried a beautiful bouquet of spring flowers and maidenhair fern.. The chief bridesmaid, Miss Ethel ■ Deihl; sister of the bride, wore a handsome ;frdck of green chcnillo and hat to tone. Miss Elvie Deihl, sister of'the bride, wore a frock of orange georgette and gold lace, with a.Jiat to tone; Both bridesmaids carried beautiful bouquets: of ■ spring flowers and maiden hair fern. The flower girl,-Miss Mario Deihl, was dressed in a lemon cropa; dh chone frock,: and carried a basket of powers., Mr. S. Deihl acted as best: man, and Mr. D. Sayweil as groomsman. The Rev. Canon Petrie performed tho ceremony. ; The Reception. Mivahtl Mrs. Deihl entertained oyer one. hundred guests at the Carlton tearooms. Tho tables were artistically decorated, with .. spring, flowers. MrsDelhi, mother of tho, bride, wore a dainty frock-of fawn repp, with hat to tone. Mrs. Rogers, mother of the bridegroom, wore a brown repp froqk. The brido and bridegroom amid showers of confetti loft later for their honeymoon, the bride weaving a beautiful'crepe dc'cbeno frock with a fur ooat and smart hat to tone. ■ # | A most picturesque evening woddihg took place at St; Jolm?a Ohiifcb, Fcilding, bp Wednesday; Agatha, younger dwghter• qf ;Mr iffid; Mrs. J. Seddon, of Denbigh' /Street,Feilding, was married tqJQha.james, second son of the late Mr and Mrs. JR. Simpson, Inverness, Scotland. ■ Canon Petrie was the officiating minister, Mr Golding presiding at the origan. " , Entering tho church on the arm of •her brother, Mr T. L.. Seddon, the bride made a graceful picture in a charming froek of ivory crepo de chine and georgette, inlet with bands of silver insertion. Her beautifully embroidered and scalloped veil was hold in place with trails of orange blossqm, fell softly about her shoes, and stockings- of Silver completing a. moat becoming toilette. The bride's lovely ppuquet of Christmas roses, heath, camclias and maiden ..hairfern, was .made "a’fid'pfesbhfed by Mrs. J. E. Barltrpp. , Miss. Kathleen Harford, who-attend-ed as bridesmaid, was daintiness itself in a filmy creation’of hydrangea georgette, the bodice of * which was Inlet with radium lace to tone, while . the skirt was softly draped with frills; A large bow. of georgette was worn on the hip,, shoes and stockings being of silver. In her hair Miss Harford wore an effectively arranged cluster of flowers in shades, of mauve and pale pipk to match those in her bouquet. Mr A. J. Lugg, of Feilding carried out the. duties of best man. After the .ceremony a large number of friends wore entertained by Mr and Mrs- Seddon at the Carlton toa-rpoms, where the usual toasts’ were honoured and congratulations' offered. , 'Mrs. Seddon received her guests gowned in navy repp with 'toufcbcs'.of beige, smart navy fuf-trim- ' mod coat, and hat of black tagel straw finished, large ribbon bow, diamante ornament. She carried a handsome, bouquet b£ spring flowers in shades of pale mauve .and deep purple. Miss Seddon;’Bister of the bride, was. attired in a frock of delicate mauve crepe do chine effectively banded with ecru insertion, with which, she .wore a modish beige-coat and hat'and carried a bouquet of violets and maiden 1 hair fern. Thb .beautiful wedding cake was, made by Mrs. G. Fitzpatrick,' the artistic' decorations of which ..were the. work ofMrs. G. Wells. The ; bridegroom’s present to the bride was a necklet of pearls,- and to tho bridesmaid,' a gold 'armlet. 1 ’
