WEDDING

FORD—CROOK. f A very charming bride was Miss Ivy Annio Winifred Crook, daughter of Mr A, Crook, Jnr. Fcrgusson Street Palmerston North, when sho was married on Wednesday, July 11, at All Saints' Church, ’to Mr Clarence Reginald Ford, Milford Street, Palmerston North. Miss Crook choso for her wedding gown ivory georgette and silver fashioned into an exquisite little freyff Her veil was made in mop cap sslo, caught to her head by a string of brilliants, with sprays of orange blossom on'cither side, while to complete her bouquet sho carried a dainty bouquet of cyclamen, fricsias and maiden hair fern. Sho entered the church on the arm of hor father, the Rev. Canon Fancourt performing the marriage ceremony. Tho bride's chief attendant was Miss Sylvia Perrin,, of Wellington, who wore a frock of powder blue crepe do chine with a tulle headband to 1 match. The other maids were Miss Jean Hunter amj Miss Cassic Fahey, the former in mauve crepe do chine, and tho lattqr in cuu-do-nil crepe do chine. , Both wore tullo headbands and carried bouquets in corresponding shades. The bridegroom’s presents were strings of pearls, Mr Frank Mills of Wellington; cousin of tho bride, was best man. A reception was afterwards held at tho Broadway Lounge where tho usual', toasts were honoured. Among tho guests were Mr and Mrs.'A and Mr and Mrs. -Lambert, of Fcilding, grandparents of the bride. Mrs. Lambert made tho wedding cake. - There • • were four generations present on the bride’s side. The bride:was later presented with satin horseshoes for luck from hor little Culkitt, of Auckland, and her nephew, Henry Ca#-‘ ter, Palmerston North. Mr and Mrs. Ford then left for tho north, tho bride wearing a'■beige repp frock with coat and hat to tone.
