PLAYERS CHOSEN FOR AUCKLAND’ RUGBY TOUR
Per Press Association.' AUCKLAND, July 23. The following 23 players have been selected for the Auckland Rugby Union team’s southern tour; — Backs: Pacwai, R. Hook, L. Hook, Minns, Falwasscr,/ Jcnkin, Jeffriea, Carter, Barclay. 1 . Forwards: Keene, Palmer, Finlayson, Wanoa, Knight,' Batty, Oathcart, Anderson, Fell, ‘ Fletcher, Kahu, Donaldson and Strange. & M. Hayward (Thames) was invited to join the party, but ,was not available. Cathcart, Anderson, and Wanoa will return home after tho match against Canterbury. The programme is:—, Ist August —v. Wairarapa, 4th August—v. Canterbury. Bth August —v South Canterbury, 11th August —Otago. uv15th. August—v. Southland. 18th August—v. Wellington. - Tho match against Wellington takes place on tho same day, as the InterIsland contest in Christchurch, and it may bo necessary to send reinforcements for this game i- many Aucklanders get into tho North Island team.
