COMMENDATION MAY ARRIVE IN FORTNIGHT
All is well with Commendation, who has been expected at Awapuni for some weeks past. Tho son of Limond takes a lot of looking after and he has been, kept at Mr. H. H. Galsford’s station pending the finding of a suitable hand to look after him. A “Times” representative learns on good authority that the gelding will probably take up his quarters at Awapuni within the next fort night. .A prominent ex-horseman, who is at present working in a New Plymouth stables, is spoked of as likely to take charge of Commendation, and in such case the big gelding will not lack attention. Commendation has been getting through plenty of work' ca his owner’s station, and he has been thriving on it. When he is shifted to G. Jones’ stables he should soon be brought into racing shape.
