Quite a feast of fun will be provided at Te Matai, near Palmerston North next Wednesday afternoon when the Manawatu Hunt winds up its season with point-to-point stceplcchasing and the' Manawatu Whippet Racing Club will hold a race meeting in conjunction with the hunt. There will be four steeplechases, ranging from two to two and a half miles each, over good stiff country, in which the best of . the hunters from Manawatu and Eangitikei wil show their mottle. In between these events the Whippet Club will put on eight events, some of them over hurdles. The programme is ■rather unique and should attract considerable attention.
