“There is no need for anyone in any part of New Zealand to b 6 without a wireless set,” said Mr ,-H. _ .Vailo, president of the Auckland' Jubilee Institute for the Blind, in referring to the progress, of the movement for installing radio sets in the homes- of blind people. Mr Vaile described the present scheme as one of the most important that tho institute 'authorities had undertaken for brightening, the life of -600 blind people ,9f the Dominion.- Although it would tako some time to complete the installations, all efforts would be made to. attend to requests promptly as they came in. Seventeen sets had already been installed, and twelve further applications were under consideration. The arrangement was to supply crystal sets, at exceptionally low cost, and.the trustees would be? able to secure still further economies if young wireless amateurs would volunteer their services for installing new sets. '
