CABARET DE LUXE
The Empire Hall, Palmerston North, has never been Seen to better-advantage than it appeared last .evening for th», opening of tho Cabaret de Luxe, which has been started-by Mrs. Borlase, of Napier, and which should prove boon to lovers of dancing, The hall was most- artistically decorated in rose pink and blue—rose curtains on the windows, small tables flanking tho sides of the room, each having a rose and blue coyer alternately and clever futuristic drawings, in vivid colourings, while the lights had large shades, toning from pale pink to deep rose. ‘ . rV ;
During the evening 'Miss Jean Muir gave a . clover and graceful exhibition of the Vale Blues. Miss Muir's danoipg partner, owing to indisposition, was unable to accompany her, but Mr. Cob bold, of the Massey College, very kindly and very ably filled in tho breach. ’ The next cabaret evening will be on Friday, August 3, when Larkin's ofehes' tra will be in attendance. •
