Wedding
EOWLER—TAYLOR. A wedding- of interest was celebrated at Glenmark, Christchurch, on Wednesday, July 18th., by the Rev. H. G. Hawkins, when Miss Prances Stuart Taylor, twin daughter of the late Mr Prank Taylor ancl Mrs. A. Walker, was married to Captain Phillip K. Powler, oldest son of Mr James Southey Powler of Peilding. The bride, who was given away by Mr A. Walker, looked most attractive in her bridal gown of blue crepe do chine, with appliqued flower trimmings ; and a becoming cyclamen shaded hat. Miss Gloria Taylor attended her sister as bridesmaid and wore a girlish petalled frock of butter-cup crepe de chine, with a lace overdress and a- hat. to tone. Captain Maurice Buckley attended the bridegroom as best man. The bridegroom and best man who arc both well known in aviation circles, flew to Glenmark, and after the ceremony Captain Buckley returned to the city with the bride and bridegroom as passengers.
. Later Captain and Mrs. Powler left for the north, the bride wearing a grey tailored suit and a smart blue hat.
