There seemed little desire to hand, over tho control of tho roads, and several speakers suggested increasing tho petrol tax. Among tho remits carried by tho conference was ono urging the, desirability of all local authorities, either jointly or severally, establishing a superannuation fund and tho matter was referred to tho executive to consider a suitable scheme.
