HIGH SCHOOL BOARD MEETS. Mr. W. E. Birnie, chairman, presided over the monthly meeting of the Palmerston High School Board of Governors last evening. There were also present Mrs. Aitchison, Messrs W. T. Penny, M. H. Oram, W. F. Durward, T. E. H odder, W. L. Fitzherbert and 0. Monrad, The Sector of : the Boys High School (Mr J, Murray) reported a roll of 333 and an average attendance of 311. Influenza had been prevalent and had adversely affected, the Attendance. The Principal of tho Girls High School (Miss Hodges) reported a roll of 200 with an average ’'attendance of 186. . The Technical School Director (Mr. G. G. Haneox) reported that'at the recent electrical wiremen’s examination, five candidates had passed the written test and three the practical test.
