Fixtures and Football Affairs There were present at tho regular weekly meeting of tho Manawatu Eugby Council last evening, Messrs J. A. Colquhoun (chairman), T. Collins P. G. Burlace, J. B. Hardie, E. Bly, H. Hands, R. E. Hatch, E. Clevely, K. W. Eglinton, H. E. Crawford. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs A. Trevena and T. Pagan. . Feilding Agricultural College was granted permission to play Stratford High School on tho 28th. It was resolved that tho junior representative team to play Horowhenua on tlio 28th, travel to Levin by train, tea being provided there. Mr E. Sands was appointed referee and Mr E. Clevely,‘manager. . . Mr J. A. Colquhoun was appointed Manawatu selector to act; in conjunction with a ‘Horowhenua selector to pick the Manawhenua junior reps. It was decided that Mr A. E. McHerron bo .appointed manager of the South Island Minor Unions team on August 4th, and Mr E. B. Hatch manager of tho North Island team. Penalties Imposed. K. Havill, of the Ashhurst Club, was suspended for two playing Saturdays for striking a Feilding Old !Boys_ player in a match between two jnnio* teams last Saturday.: \ Baxter, another Ashhurst player, was placed on the caution list as ho had been ordered off for having too much to say. It was resolved to suggest August Ist as a suitable date for the Wallace Cup game, Manawatu B v. Oroua, the match to be played at Feilding. On the motion of Mr Bly, it was decided to endeavour to arrange a Bush v. Manawatu representative fixture, at Woodville on September Ist. It was resolved that Manawatu B play Te Kawau at Sanson on August 15th.
