APPLICATIONS TO COURT TOR EXEMPTION PAIL. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. A largo number of applications from fruiterers wbro before the Court to-day asking exemption from the provisions of the Shops and Offices Act relating to the sale of tobacco and cigarettes, and also of seeds and bedding-out plants. In several eases the applications in respect to seeds and plants were granted, but in no instance was exemption given in respect to tobacco sales.
