CONCERT AND SOCIAL AT GIRLS’ FLOCK HOUSE

: A ■ cheery crowd of members of the Business Girls’ Lunch Club took a concert party to the Girls’ Flock House last evening. An exceedingly jolly and enjoyable time ensued. Mrs. Oram, the club president, Mrs. Christian, Mr. J. A. Nash, M.P., Mr. Jas. Wallace and many others ■were present, a hearty welcome being extended to the visitors by Miss Wallace, matron, and her assistants and girls. A lino programme was' presented as follows: Violin solos, Master Harry Boson; songs, Miss D. Stairs; monologue, Miss M. Symons; songs, Miss N. Blockley; recitations, Miss L. Tcalc; pianoforte solos, Miss Baloigh; songs, Miss C. Christian; song, Miss Symons; song, Miss Wallace (matron); duct, Miss Wallace and Mr. Jas. Wallace. Following supper, dancing, musical arms, and singing (led by Mr. Nash and Mr. Wallace) served to pass the remainder of the evening very pleasantly. Miss Wallace, on behalf of Finch House, thanked the visitors for the enjoyable time they had given the girls, Mr. Nash replying. “Auld Lang Svne” brought to a close a very happy time.
