United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, Juno 7. Dr. Barton has boon acquitted of the charge of manslaughter in connection with the death of Mrs. Cross the police having no evidence to offer. On May 10., Mrs. Cross died as the result of poisoning. Dr. Barton informed the police that he was mixing a tonic for her and inadvertently used an overdose of strychnine in mistake for quinine.
