ST. PAUL’S CHURCH

On Wednesday night at St. Paul’s Hall a concert, organised by the church choir, was given to raise funds to help wipe off the deficit on the Assembly’s foreign missions operations for the past year. There was a good attendance, and the collection amounted to over £ll. The Eev. T, Miller presided. The programme comprised several glees by the choir, trio by Miss N. Neilson, and Messrs. A. Wilson and D. Pearce; humorous quartette by Misses N. Neilson and C. Prydc, and Messrs. Wilson and Pearce; vocal duct by Misses N. Neilson and Z. Sourie; pianoforte ducts by Misses Pearce and Dummer and Misses Gosncll and Shrimpton; recitation by Miss M. Hutchison; stories by Mr. T. L. Mills; songs by Messrs. Mathcson, Pearce, and Bartholomew, and a dialogue on “Golf Mania’’ by Misses Sybil Pearce, Lois Davidson, Edna Stewart, and Ivy Dummer. Mr. G. Bartholomew conducted the choir and Mr. Mathcson was at the piano. Supper was provided by the ladies and all enjoyed the evening’s entertainment.
