EXIT ‘LIZZIE’— ENTER ‘ELIZABETH’

Plain “Lizzie” has gone for ever and a quite aristorcratie “Elizabeth” has succeeded to the family title. There is no single point of resemblance between the old and the now. At last the i’ord is a car! But what arc the after-dinner orators going to do about it? They cannot toll stories about “Miss 1925. ” She is far too respectable. She is prim and trim. Her sweet and sweeping lines suggest speed, yet her build gives an impression of solid strength and staying, power. There is a hint of luxury in her cushions and a touch of art in her colour schemes. We will not.be able to say any more: “Ho, sir, I don’t own a car. I drive a Ford.” The great interest taken in Henry Ford’s latest creation was demonstrated last evening when a large crowd camo and wont for three hours to tho “early view” arranged by tho management of the Ford Motors at their showroom in Uangitikei street. A coach model was all that could bo spared for Palmerston North, so great has been tho demand for tho now car all over the world. But that handsome specimen of the automobile architect's art was sufciont to hold tho attention and elicit the admiration of tho exports—and everyone who drives a car is an expert, of course. There will bo a steady stream of sightseers—for “Miss 1925” is a sight worth seeing—during the next few days in Uangitikei street.
