Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on the sales of the week as under:— There was a good yarding of sheep at the Marton sale on Monday, 27th. ult. There was a fair attendance of buyers and competition was keen for young ewes, a line of 500 2-ths. making the satisfactory price of 36s to 36s 4d, but older ewes and rape lambs were dull of sale, the majority being passed in under the hammer. There was a good yarding of sheep at the Huutervillo sale on Tuesday, 28th. ulti, which sold as below:— 4 and oyr. breeding ewes 18/10 to 21/4; 5 yr. ewes, 19/2; m.a. owes 11/9 to 13/3; cull ewes, 9/-; woolly b.f. lambs, 14/2 to 15/1; Romney wether lambs, 12/2; small mixed lambs 7/2; 1-shear Romney rams, 2gns; 2-sicear Romney rams Sgns.; m.a. Romney rants i gns. There was a large "yarding of sheep and a small entry of cattle at the Feilding sale on Friday, 2nd instant. Prices for fat sheep showed a decided advance and for all good sound lines of breeding ewes and store sheep generally, there was a keen demand. Quotations: Fat lambs 22/7 to 26/8; fat ewes, 18/6 to 39/1; m.a. ewes, 13/-, .15/ 16/-, to 17/-; 4 and 5 yr. owes 20/-, 21/ •, 22/7, to 23/-; small lambs, 9/6 to 11/- wether lambs, 13/3; ewe lambs 17/7 to 18/10; small b.f shorn la:-U*s 12/ to 13/-; shorn b.f. lambs 15/6 to 16/-; 2-th ewes, 26/7, 33/6 to 35/3; small 2-th wethers 20/-;. Fat cows, £6 10/- to £6 15/-; fat heifers £7 9/ ; fat bullocks, £9 5/- to £9 15/-; cows and calves £6 6/-.

Sevin and Co. Ltd., report:— At Bongotca on Tuesday a moderate yarding of cattle and a full ono of pigs came forward. Tho hulk of the pigs were wcaners and slips, which were hard to quit, only good stores and porkers meeting with any competition. Cattle sold at late rates. Fat cows, £4 5/- to £5 9/-; weaner .Ter. cross heifers, 29/-, 36/0, to £2; fat and forward cows, £3 If- to £4 2/-; to £4 4/-; Jersey bulls, £5; weaner pigs, 6/6, 7/6; slips, 9/- 10/- to 13/-; medium stores 15/-; good stores to porkers, 20/-, 21/- to 24/-,
