LINTON
(From Our Own Correspondent.) On Friday evening the .Linton Tennis Club bold a euchre tournament, and dance. ■ Although the attendance was not very largo, a most enjoyable evening was spent by all those present. The euchre prizes were Avon by Miss Bertha Currin and Mr G. Rix. The music for the dance was kindly supplied by Mrs. Sharpe, and extras were played by Mr Ernest Sharpe and Mr Knlpe. The duties of M.C. were efficiently carried out by. Mr S. Brown. Mr Keith Moody, who was badly crushed by a,tractor at Makcrua last Friday is in hospital, and is progressing as well as can be expected. On Sunday the Linton-Tokoma.ru road was thronged with cars containing blackberry pickers on their way to the Tokomani swamp. Mr. P. Sheridan, who underwent an operation last Friday, Is making a satisfactory recovery. Mr and Mrs. Ken. Russell and family are spending a holiday at Paekakariki. Mr and Mrs. G. Rix have gone tt) Pllmmcrton for a holiday. ' •
