Four Dutchmen arc starting next week to cross the Atlantic in a 24-foot boat which is declared to be unsinkable. They have just arrived at Westminster Pier after a three days’ crossing from Rotterdam. The crew includes the 68-year-old inventor. Mr J' P, Schuttcvacr, who says that tho boat is not able .to be capsized because a water tank, the full length of the keel, automaically rights itself and rises with the waves hence tho water cannot break over. The motive power consists of sails with four emergency oars. There is a tiny apparatus for charging the accumulators for the wireless set with which the crew will keep in touch with civilization. The voyage is expected to occupy from 40 to 60 days. Three tons of provisions and water are stowed in a tiny cabin, which combines a dormitory, storeroom, ■wireless room and living room. No cooking will be done. The entire meals will consist of bully beef, tea anq damper.
