At tho Supreme Court to-day William Jamieson, charged with assaulting John Thomas Butterworth at Ngaherc was found guilty, a jury returning its verdict without retiring. Mr Justice Adams in commenting on the evidence, which showed that the parties concerned in the case were drinking in a Ngahere hotel after eleven o’clock on a Sunday •night, said that ho thought the facts ought to be brought under the notice of the Licensing Committee.
