TWINE ON HATS
Plain little pull-on hats of felt seem •here ; tp stay’ dnd in spite of the efforts of dress and millinery designers, and' of those who create the fashions, they'will not be busted from popular favour. In themselves they are so plain and uniform that milliners are inventing all kinds of out of the way trimmings to give them originality. An innovation sponsored in Paris is coloured twine which is used also on hats of satin and velvet. Multi-col-oured twine is used like thread to form 'designs on plain hats, and has the advantajge of being thicker and more conspicuous than thread, while lying close'and flat to the hat and not (JisiTurbing its lines. Multi-coloured twine is popular for black hats and pn coloured hats It is shaded to; match or tone.
