Because ho was able to sing on tho way to a London police station the ditty "When My Father Lathers Me, Lather's Rather Free.” Captain Gordon Crickmay told tho London magistrates that he must have been sober. He added that the policeman hummed the accompaniment Captain Crickmay rc-sang a verse in the witness-box to prove that it was a tongue-twister. Th e charge against him of having been drunk in charge of a motor car was dismissed.
