HAWKE’S BAY SHOW
Tlie Hawke’s Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society’s Autumn Show will take place on the society’s grounds, Tomoana, on Wednesday, 14th March, and attention is drawn to the advertisement in this issue drawing attention to the closing date of entries, further that schedule may bo had from the secretary (A. M. Reterncycr). Intending exhibitors who have not received a copy of the schedule should do so without delay. Ip this year’s schedule classes are again included for pedigree and grade Jersey heifer calves and in the latter class a challenge cup is offered for competition. The dog trials which have proved so popular in the past are again included, and in addition to the challenge cup, a gold modal is again offered for the best performance in the yarding exhibition In addition to the foregoing, classes are provided for pet lambs, dairy produce, home industries, bacon, honey, dressed poultry, apple packing competitions, and numerous horse competitions. Entries which may be made with cither the secretary or Messrs. Wilkinson and Jones, Russell street, Hastings close on 29th February.
