CARPENTER ADMITTED TO PUBLIC HOSPITAL. A married man named George Sad ley, who is a carpenter by trade, was knocked down by a motor lorry in Fitzherbort Avenue yesterday evening. Shelley was riding a motor-cycle up Fitzherbort Avenue in the direction ot the Square, when a motor lorry, the driver of which is unknown, collided with him. Shelley was thrown vio : lently from his machine suffering severe his left arm and face He was removed'to the Public Hospital where he was operated upon last evening. Enquiry at the institution elicited the information that he was progressing as well as could be ex pected. Fall From Stack. A wan named Neill Kirkby was admitted to the Public Hospital last evening suffering from spinal injuries as the result of a fall from a stack at Whakarongo.
