THE LYCEUM

“WORLD AT HER PEET.” Given two young married couples, ono husband being too busy being a successful doctor to devote time to Ids wife, and one wife, too busy being a successful lawyer to devote time to her husband. Then have the neglected pair meet as the principals in a thrilling traffic accident at a busy corner. There you have the ingredients of as delightful a screen comedy as lias ever been shown at the Lyceum Theatre; the Florence Vidor starring vehicle “The World at Her Feet," which commences to-night. Miss Vidor, in all her brunette loveliness, as first the efficient attorney, and next the charming wife, using her law-sharpened wits to win back her mate, gives one of the finest performances of her career. She brings to the role a sympathy of treatment, a knowledge of the requirements of farce comedy, and a stately grace that arc enchanting. Arnold Kent, the neglected husband, gives now evidence of why Paramount holds him on contract as a loading man.' Margaret Quimby, William Austin and Richard Tucker in the supporting cast, are ideal. “The World at Tier Feet” was directed by Luther Reed, who so successfully guided Adoplhc Men jou through 'The Ace of Gads' and ‘livening Glohtse, ’ both id' them distinct hits. The story is an adaptation by Doris Anderson of tho French stage play, “Lawyer Holbec and Her Husband.” Louise Long wrote the continuity. i
