OHEISTOHUROH SITTINGS. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night, la the Supreme Court to-day Ernest Clark was found not guilty on a charge of theft at Kaiapoi on December 26, of £SO, the property of Thomas Hickinbotham, licensee of the Mandevillo Hotel. Clark was staying at the hotel and it was alleged he broke open a cupboard and stole the money. Harold HardCgravo was found not quilty on a charge that he had broken and entered a dwelling and stolen a gramophone and records. Accused was a window cleaner and it was alleged he took the goods from the place where he was employed. Prisohor pleaded guilty of the theft of a wooden cider jar valued at £3 from an hotel and was remanded till to-morrow for sentence. William Rothwell Kemp was found not guilty of indecent exposure.. On the direction of the Judge Herbert William Carey was acquitted by the jury on a change of having set fire to a property in Ferry Road, Christchurch, the ground of the judge’s direction to tho jury being insanity. Prisoner was committed to a Mental Hospital.
