ESSAY PRIZE-WINNERS. Recently the Palmerston North Chamber of Commerce instituted an essay competition, the subject being “Palmerston North as a (Business Centre.” The essay was restricted to a length suitable for n wireless broadcasting locturetto and several entries were- received. The president of the Chamber (Mr. M. A. Eliott) announces the winners a s follows: Mr. A. D. Campbell, Palmerston North 1. Miss Aleza Stevens, Wanganui 2. Mrs. E. Voice, 35 Waldcgrave Street, Palmerston North 3. The first prize essay was oroadcasted by the Palmerston North Radio Club on Monday evening and later will be published along with the others. in the “Times.”
