LICE-INFECTED SHEEP
FARMERS PINED. A number of prosecutions under the Stock Act for exposing for sale sheep infected with lice were preferred against farmers at the Magistrate's Court, Feilding, yesterday, at the instigation of stock inspector E. A. Palmer, Mr J. L. S.M., was on th e Bench. Fines were imposed' as follows; George Craw (Linton) £lO and costs;. Chris. Jensen (Ashhurst), Laurence Bourke (Palmerston North), George Mcßeth (Kimbolton), W.'T; Keddell (Pahiatua), H. Waller (Hlmatangi), Mrs E. Shannon (Palmerston North), £3 and costs each: John Annand (Feilding), C. H. Osborne (Apiti), H .L. Osborne (Apiti), E. G. Parker (Colyton), and L. F. Pearce (Makino) £2 and costs each.
