THE LYCEUM
TO-NIGHT. “THE RETURN OP PETER GRIMM.” For poignancy, sweeping drama and comedy of the highest o4rder —for good, wholesome entertainment, in other words —see Fox Films’ version of "The Return of Peter Grimm” which J deals with life’s greatest question—can the dead commune with the living? One of the highlights of the photoplay comes when the kindly but peppery Peter Grimm returns in the spirit after his death. One of the most touching climaxes ever incorporated into a photoplay is to be seen in “Peter Grimm." Edmund Lowe Madge Bellamy and Leslie Fenton are featured in “Black Paradise.”' In this absorbing crook drama Miss Bellamy Is the innocent bystander as it were .who falls in love with a charming young crook, Leslie Fenton, and decides to reform him. He goes straight for a while but just befoyo they are married, decides to try one more “job” and falls into a trap. COMING TO-MORROW, RIN-TIN-TIN IN “THE NIGHT CRY.” Rin-Tln-Tin the famous dog star, has his own place in screen popularity .where he stands alone as an attraction. In the Master Picture, “The Night Cry” which commences to-morrow at the Lyceum Theatre, Kinty proves move remarkable than ever. The intelligence he displays in his screen, work is not only a credit to the direction of Herman Haymaker, but a never ceasing source of wonder to Rin-Tin-Tin’s audiences. “The Night Cry” gets its title from the weird cry of a vulture which preys on a flock of sheep, while suspicion of the community falls upon Kinty, the shepherd dog. How Rinty rescues his master’s baby from the giant condor how in a thrilling light he kills the bird of prey, and vindicates himself forms the theme of the story, written by Phil Glien and Edward Meagher. The supporting cast of “The Night Cry” includes June Marlowe, who has frequently been seen with Rinty; John Harron, Gaync Whitman, Don Alvarado, Heinie Conklin and Mary Louise Miller. Abounding in thrills, beauty and homely sentiment, “The Night Cry” is certain to please all picture-goers.
