The demand for electrical engineering work in the Feilding district has been responsible for Mr. J. lE. Jackson opening a business at 48 Warwick street. All classes of brick, tiling and concrete work is undertaken by Messrs. White Bros., brick layers, of Feilding, who have an announcement in this issue. Sincere sympathy is being extended to Mr. James Campbell and Mr. and Mrs. E. J/'Wackrill over the death which occurred on Sunday night of little Kathleen Campbell, aged 10 years. She had been residing with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Wackrill almost since her birth. Polo ponies for Hamilton, Te Aroha Wairarapa. and Hastings left Feilding yesterday on the completion of the big tournament. In connection with the injuries sustained by several of the ponies during transit by rail to the polo tourney, an officer of the Railway Department was in Feilding yesterday making enquiries. A detailed report is to be furnished to the Railway Department on the subject. The work of rebuilding in concrete the small traffic bridge at Kakarikl which was washed out during the floods experienced in the early spring last year, has commenced., Yesterday men were engaged in reconstructing the concrete wall of the Halcombe , side approach.
