| The president (Mr. Jas Knight, Feilding) presided over the meeting of the Manawatu A. and P. Association's general commitcee yesterday, i Correspondence. ] From Canon Fancourt, vicar of All ' Saints; thanking the committee for generosity in placing the produce hall at the church’s disposal for its annual fair. i From Railway District Traffic Manager, trusting that the friendly relations now existing between the Association and Department would be maintained. He was pleased to know ■ that the Department’s endeavours had met with the Association’s approval. From K. D. Douglas Mac Dean (Hawke’s Bay) expressing thanks (or Ills kindness and assistance extended to his employees and himself during the Spring Show. From J. R. Frame (Wellington) and James Hart (Tatuami) with similar thanks. From M. F. Donovan, of Marackakaho, thanking the Association for i'kindness extended to himself and i other stockmen who travelled by the ispecial stock train from Hawke's Bay to the Spring Show. Special thanks wore tendered Messrs. R. D. Knight and S. Macaulay who met them at Woodville with a truck of green feed for the stock. This was the spirit that materially assisted man and beast over the Rimutakas. The Director of the Technical School (Mr. G. G. Hancox) wrote thanking the Association for donation to the A. and P. Scholarship Fund. From the secretary of the S.P.C.A. (Mr. R. A. Puller) thanking the Association for free stall space at the Spring Show. From B. H. Martin (Waitawa), resigning from the Association owing to the rule which prevented ladies from riding their own hacks in certain classes. —Referred to horse schedule committee.

Xi'rom the Palmerston North Horticultural Society asking for a refund of moneys paid for hire of tables owing to the last show showing a loss. —lt was decided to hand back the fees as a special donation. From the secretary, Manawatu Kennel Club, forwarding cheque for £45 7s 9d in settlement of account and half proceeds of gate at Kennel Club Show. Thanks were also tendered for kindness shown and assistance freely given.—Decided to congratulate the Club on the success which attended their exhibition. “They did very well,” remarked Mr. J. A. Nash, M.P. 1 General. Votes of thanks were passed to the following for- donations:—J. Hurley (P.N.), £5; J. Wingate (P.N.), (i scats: R. M. AloKnight (P.N.) for compiling address of welcome to the GovernorGeneral; R. W. Matthews (Waiorongomai) ,£3; Mrs. K. MacDonald (Koputaroa), 30s; A. Swift (Taoroa), £3. Special Pig Classes.

It was decided to uphold a protest from the Cheltenham Co-op. Dairy Company in connection with the special pig classes at the Spring Show,

Thanks were extended .to Mr. J. A. Russell for splendid services rendered in connection with these classes, and also to the manager of the abattoir (Mr. A. M. Spilman)- for consideration, shown.
