A farmer who resides not many miles from Te Awamutu remarked the other day that he fully realised the truth of the contention that dairy cows must not be excited at milking time. He says he has proved the efficacy of curbing the natural impulse to respond in kind when a cow kicks him. His method of response is to sing, and a neighbour assures us that he has heard the musical farmer at milking time singing heartily. When that information was convoyed to the singer he smilingly admitted the truth of the statement, concluding with,: “It pays —and pays well—to sing to your cows.” FULLY ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAY. Into the holiday bag put a tin of Pulmonas. Sore throats como upon one unawares, and if neglected often lead to serious troubles. Pulmonas dissolved slowly in the mouth ease and soothe. Their antiseptic vapours heal and prevent. Splendid for coughs, colds, bronchitis, influenza, etc. Pulmonas at chemists. 1/6 and 2/6.
