MR. McHARDY RENEWS OPTION. At the Borough Council meeting: last evening 1 , the Mayor (Mr. F. J. Nathan ( reminded the meeting of the stand ho had taken in regard to the purchase of the Mr. P. McHardy’s property at Fitzherbert, as a gift for Agricultural College purposes. He Intimated that he had received a communication from the Minister, but it did not cover the ground as amply as it might. The Mayor then stated that he had been in communication with Mr. McHardy yesterday in connection with the option on the property, which was to have expired on December 31. Mr. McHardy had agreed, however, to extend same until the Prims Minister returned to New Zealand.
