SHIPMENT OF VEALi FROM LONDON. The New Zealand Dairy Produce. Control Board has decided to join with the Meat Board in undertaking some financial responsibility in the event of loss being incurred by the Patea Freezing Company in connection with the shipment to London of 30.000 head of veal, which is a. trial shipment designed to help the dairy industry and prevent the loss now incurred by the general destruction of calves. A considerable trade is done with London by certain Continental countries In the export of veal, and it is hoped to duplicate that success from the Dominion. Hitherto the export has boon prohibited. but after protracted negotiations permission has been secured for a trial shipment on a comprehensive scale. If this is successful in its outcome it will prove a definite advantage to daily districts equipped with the necessary facilities.
