An election will he hold on November 4 Wl> . F G. Tug-pen is acting stationmaster at Feilding during the absence on holiday of Mr. S. R. Steadman. The Rev. AV. S. Neal, of Sandon. will be the speaker at the meeting of the Wesley Guild (his evening at the Methodist schoolroom.

At the Tautnarunui sports on Labour Day. Miss Doris Shaploski, of Feilding, had two firsts for dancing, one including the North Island championship for the Sailors’ Hornpipe, and two seconds. •

The South-bound Auckland express was three-quarters of an hour late at Feilding yesterday, owing in congestion of holiday traffic. The train cleared Feilding at 9.45 o’clock.
