HOCKEY
PALMERSTON NORTH CLUB. The annual meeting of the Palmerston North Hockey Club' was held last evening, when Mr. W. H. Wilson presided over a g'ood attendance. The annual report stated that after one year’s activities the Club was in a good financial position. A motion of sympathy was passed to the relatives of the late Mr. W. J. Jolly. The following officers were elected: President: Mr. W. H. Wilson; vicepresidents; Messrs 4 F. J. Nathan, P. M. Cousins, J. P. Innes, H. Hepworth, W. Oates, and V. Goldfinch.' Delegates to Manawatu Hockey Association: Messrs. V. Kyle and W. H. Wilson. Secretary and treasurer: Mr. M. A. Levy. A meeting for men members was called for Tuesday. April 6. to discuss the question of a separate association for lady players. A canvass for young men members was suggested.
PHOENIX CLUB. A meeting of the Phoenix Hockey Club was held last evening, Mr. K. Mayo in the chair. Th 0 following officers were elected for the ensuing year.—President: Mr. A. Ekstedt; vice-presidents: Messrs. L. Martin. B. Pratt, J. Cousins, B. Barnes, G. Luoni. N. Wallace, B. Jacobs, N. Sinclair and R. Meacyard. Secretary: Mr. A. H. Ward. Treasurer: C. J. Wilkie; management committee: Messrs. A. Andrews, R. Mayo and A. H. Ward. Delegates to annual conference: Messrs R'. Brace and Ward. The selection of club captain was held over until the first match.
