Elliott, the newly-appointed Minister of Labour in the Kdng Federal Liberal Government, was elected, at the by-election necessitated by his elevation to Cabinet rank, for West Middlesex riding over T. A. Elliot, a Conversatlve, with a majority of 2681, The vote was Elliott (Liberal) 6520, Elliot (Conservative) 3839. In the general election last October, Elliott the Liberal polled 4680, McDouagll, a Progressive 3222, and Elliot, the Conservative 3207.
