A malt "health booster,” containing 3.75 per cent, of alcohol, which looks and tastes like beer, is to be placed on the market for a trial period of six mouths, under the sanction of Assistanst-Secretary Andrews, of th e Treasury, who is in charge of prohibition enforcement. Permits for the manufacture and sale of the "booster" have been issued to certain breweries by. the Government. [The alcoholic content of ordinary ale is 4 to 5 per cent, so that tne now boor will be very “near.”]
